Founder Olly’s Building Story

From fine art graduate to Surrey’s trusted building expert

Founded by Director Olly Rooks over a decade ago, Rooks Construction Ltd began as a passion project rooted in exceptional craftsmanship. After graduating from the University of Plymouth with a BA in Fine Art and Foundation in Engineering, Olly discovered his natural affinity for building and construction, combining creative vision with technical expertise.

What started as a sole trader operation has grown into a respected family-run business employing around 12 skilled professionals, including a dedicated office-based team that ensures every project runs smoothly from start to finish.

Based in the heart of Grayshott, Surrey, we’re proud members of the local community. Our prime high street location means local residents often walk in with enquiries, and we’re active supporters of community initiatives like the Grayshott Community Orchard.
